Rules to Contact People

Here are all the rules in order to contact your opponents on time. What to do according to their responses

Planning the match (most important rule)

  • Each match has a “plan-before date”.

  • The match must be planned before this date (agreement that the match will be played).

  • The match:

    • Does not need to be played immediately

    • Can be played later (for example because of holidays, work missions, or bad weather)

    • But it must be planned in advance

  • A match can be played up to one day before the end of the tournament.

If, at the plan-before date:

  • You cannot yet fix an exact playing date (for example due to work, travel, or weather), you have two options:

    • Postpone the match, or

    • Plan it with a temporary (placeholder) date

This means the match is considered planned and will not be removed.

⚠️ If the match is not planned before the plan-before date:

  • A reminder will be sent to both players

  • If nothing happens within one week after the plan-before date, the match will be automatically deleted

The match will NOT be deleted if:

  • A date is planned

  • Or the match is marked as postponed

Who must contact who?

  • Each player has a ranking number in the group.

  • The lower-ranked player (weaker ranking / higher number) must make the first contact.

  • The higher-ranked player may also take the initiative, but the responsibility remains with the lower-ranked player.

No response = Ghosted

  • If one player contacts the other and receives no reply, they can mark the opponent as ghosted.

  • Being marked as ghosted means:

  • The player who made the effort is considered active

  • The non-responding player is considered inactive

Match awarded after ghosting

  • If a player is marked as ghosted and still does not respond:

  • The match will be awarded to the player who made the effort

  • This happens one week after the plan-before date

No-show at the court

  • If both players agreed on a date and:

  • One player goes to the court

  • And the other player does not show up

  • Then the victory is awarded to the player who came.

  • Exception:

  • The player who came may accept to reschedule the match.

  • If the no-show player does not come and does not play, the win remains with the player who showed up.

Impossible-to-play situation

  • If both players are in contact but:

  • There is no realistic way to play the match

  • Now or in the future

  • For structural reasons (for example: incompatible work schedules, permanent availability conflict, or distance too far)

  • Then:

  • The match will be deleted

  • Both players receive 0 points

  • (This applies only if both players made a real effort to organize the match.)

Fair play reminder

  • Both players are expected to:

  • Reply within a reasonable time

  • Make a real effort to find a date

  • Respect planned matches

  • These rules exist to protect active players and keep the league running smoothly.
