Bloom World Academy is a progressive, co‑educational International Baccalaureate (IB) World School located in Al Barsha South, Dubai. Established in August 2022 by Bloom Education, it offers a full educational pathway for students aged 18 months to 18 years, from Early Years through pre‑university programmes.
Educational Approach
BWA embraces a customised, learner‑centred philosophy, believing that “education should be dynamic, creative and constantly evolving.” Instead of strictly age‑based progression, the school uses a ‘stage not age’ approach and personal Learner Achievement Passports to tailor learning to each student’s interests, abilities and goals. This framework is reviewed collaboratively with parents and students on a regular basis.
The curriculum follows the IB World Continuum — covering the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Career‑related Programme (IBCP) — designed to develop confident, curious, creative and future‑ready learners.
Learning Experience & Innovation
Bloom World Academy integrates academic rigour with real‑world, hands‑on learning. Students engage with technology, design, AI, entrepreneurship and innovation projects, supported by specialist facilities like the innovative Lumos Innovation Centre. This emphasis prepares learners for evolving global challenges and future careers.
Holistic Growth & Well‑being
Alongside academic programmes, BWA supports emotional well‑being, character development, creativity, physical education and community engagement. The school also offers flexible school timings, enrichment activities before and after formal lessons, and personalised pastoral care as part of its holistic approach.
Community & Diversity
The academy brings together a diverse international community, fostering cultural awareness, collaboration and respect across more than 85 nationalities.
Facilities
The campus includes modern learning spaces, athletic facilities (like swimming and sports fields), arts and innovation labs, and dedicated IB pre‑university spaces — all designed to support a well‑rounded educational experience.
